Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases from MrGlyn’s Pickups, New Zealand. By making a purchase you are agreeing to the following terms:

Applicable legislation

We’re a New Zealand based business and all our products are manufactured here. New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act, applies to our dealings with you.

Payment terms & conditions

All prices are listed in New Zealand dollars and exclude freight. 15% Goods and Services Tax is included for NZ customers only.

Payment can be made by all customers by PayPal or by credit card via Stripe. New Zealand customers only can also pay by direct bank deposit.

Payment for products and shipping is to be made in New Zealand dollars. You may be charged a currency conversion fee; if so any charges are your responsibility to pay.

Shipping and Delivery

If you have any questions about shipping costs please contact us before you buy as shipping costs will not be refunded in full or in part once paid. Head here for our current shipping rates.

For New Zealand purchases we use tracked postage via NZ Post; we’ll send you the tracking details once the parcel is on its way.

We use DHL for international shipping. Our international shipping is tracked so please give us a street address for delivery. We’ll include your email address and contact telephone number in the information we give to DHL to make it as easy as possible for them to get your pickups to you, and to contact you in the event of any hold ups at your border.

Please let us know as soon as possible if your details change to avoid any delays in delivery.

Lead time

We publish the lead time for shipping your purchase on our website. The lead time shows how many days between us receiving your order to it being sent out for shipping. Once shipped, you can follow the tracking information provided for updated estimates of when your purchase will land.

Where there are extra costs and charges imposed on imports by the destination country, delivery is often delayed due to customs administration. While we hope you get your pickups quickly, we’re not able to accurately estimate delivery time once shipped. Please follow up with your customs and regulatory authorities if you’re concerned about a delay.

To reduce delays please provide complete and accurate contact details when making your order.

Extra costs and charges

We charge our customers the cost of their purchase as published on our website, and the cost of shipping.

Unfortunately we have no control over any extra costs or charges imposed on our shipments by the destination country.

For example; recent changes in how the USA charges taxes on all imports means from 29 August 2025 there will be extra charges incurred by our US customers at their border (USA duties and tariffs) and from 1st March 2026 France is imposing an additional 2EU charge (low value regulatory tax) on every item under 150EU imported from non EU countries. Other EU countries are expected to make similar changes in future with a 3EU charge anticipated from 1 July 2026.

Please be aware that as the purchaser you are liable for any customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes levied on the shipment by the destination country regulatory authorities (“customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes”). You’ll need to pay these before the item can be released to you.

Any customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes and currency conversion charges are not included in the purchase or shipping price.

While we hope this is never necessary, if DHL claims the cost of return shipping or payment of the customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes from Mr Glyn’s Pickups because you either refused to pay any of the customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes, or because the shipment is deemed by DHL to be undeliverable, we’ll need to pass the liability for these costs to you. In the unfortunate and hopefully unlikely event this happens we’ll issue an itemised PayPal invoice with the cost of return shipping or customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes to your PayPal account, payment due within 7 days of issuing the invoice.

Tariff Classification

For any questions from your customs agency on excise duties and tariffs here’s the relevant Harmonised System tariff classification information for all our products, for some of our most frequent destinations:

USA: commodity code 9209.94.80 (HS2022) NZ Foreign Affairs & Trade: Tariff Finder (USA rates).

Australia, Singapore, India: commodity code 9209.94.00 (HS2022)

UK, EU: commodity code 9209.94.00 (HS2017)

All our products are proudly New Zealand made. We include the declaration on origin as New Zealand in your “order completed” email and in our customs declaration on shipping.

UK Customers

We can ship purchases over GBP135 (excluding shipping costs) to the UK; in order to check purchases to a UK address meet this threshold you’ll be asked to change currency on the site to GBP. Apologies for any inconvenience

Free Trade Agreements

New Zealand has free trade agreements with Australia, EU and UK (and others) reducing import tariffs on our products; please be aware that there may be other customs fees, duties and taxes (e.g. VAT) payable on your purchase that are not covered by the free trade agreement (see extra charges and costs above).
